July 12, 2009: Coach Mike Vennard, Pastor of Sports Ministries, taught the second chapter of “Balance, Boundaries and Bridges at The Marketplace Network weekly gathering at CTWC. His message today was “Body Balance:Use it or Lose It”. The focus of the lesson presented the intricate relationship with body care and the performance of the soul and spirit. Performance in the marketplace can be directly enhanced or hindered by the health of the body. The material also gave insight on how easy it is to maintain health with regular exercise that does not require much time or money.

July 07, 2009: The Marketplace Network leadership named Daniel Versola its Social Media Director. Daniel will be creating a network of communities for The Marketplace Network including Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Linkdn. Santagate says “Daniel is one of our up and coming leaders, currently heading up a small group, and now he will begin to use his talents to help create an effective network of community for the message of The Marketplace Network. We look forward to working together”.

July 5, 2009: The Marketplace Network leadership introduced its new curriculum, “V1Q4-Balance, Boundaries and Bridges”. Written by Dr. Santagate, this is the fourth 13-week series designed to mentor, motivate and mobilize men and women of leadership to release godly principles within their sphere of influence. Santagate states, “Balance brings peace; Boundaries bring relational health; and Bridges bring enrichment of life. The first message focused on the importance of a holistic health and balance of spirit, soul and body. This completes our first year of curriculum, (V1Q1-Kingdom Principles for Success; V1Q2-Dreams, Vision, Purpose, Goals and Truth; V1Q3-Kingdom Economics: Maximizing Your Money God’s Way), for a total of 52 weeks of mentoring material that can used for small groups, church Sunday School, or individual application”.

June 18, 2009: The Executive Hour, hosted by The Marketplace Network at the Del Rio Country Club, began the first of a seven part series by Dr. Franklin Santagate. This month’s topic was “Vision is Vital”. Dr. Santagate focused on the absolute importance of dreams and vision for significance in life. “Every great vision is born of a dream and without great vision there can be no significance. While we can accomplish success for ourselves, we can only achieve significance by serving others”, said Santagate. Tom Changnon, Superintendent of Stanilaus County Schools, stated, “Recently, I was visiting and old friend who was 90 years of age. He said to me, ‘Tom, if your memories begin to outnumber your dreams, the end is near”. Fill-in-the-blanks curriculum is used for the meeting and handed out to all in attendance. It is also available upon request. After the presentation there is time for table discussion and sharing. The meeting is designed for C-class executives and up to gather and develop a network of relationships.

May 24, 2009: The Marketplace Network leadership launched its ten week series “Career Prep and Guidance. This class is headed by Marketplace leaders Stu Gilman of External Resources and Linda Hermann, a University of Phoenix professor. The series offers testing, presented by Jim Pyatt, which prepares workplace individuals to identify their natural and spiritual giftings along with their career opportunities that make the most of those giftings. Further, they will hear from marketplace professionals from a number of key areas and be able to explore educational requirements to moving into those career areas.

May 21, 2009: The Marketplace Network leadership hosted The Executive Hour luncheon at the Del Rio Country Club. Guest speaker, Chuck Bryant, Executive Director of the Pinnacle Forum, a leader of Modesto commerce leaders, spoke of the importance of ascending to the top of your area of influence. using his life trek as an example, Chuck stated he finds his greatest fulfilment in the second halftime of his life by doing what he was gifted to do.

April 16, 2009: The Marketplace Network leadership hosted The Executive Hour luncheon at the Del Rio Country Club. The 2nd presentation of the new series “LeaderTrust” was continued by Dr. Franklin Santagate, as he challenged leaders of commerce, education, government, entertainment, media and the arts to forge a force to aggressively focus on city and county challenges. His message was “Find your Upcurve in your Downturn”.

March 29, 2009: The Marketplace Network announces the beginning of its 13 week curriculum, “Kingdom Economics, Maximzing Your Money God’s Way”. The class is taught by Dr. Franklin Santagate and the meetings are held at 8:50am-10:15am each Sunday morning in the Fellowship Hall at Calvary Temple Worship Center located at 1601 Coffee Road. A free continental breakfast begins at 8:50am. The class begins promptly at 9:15am. The curriculum is $25.

Small Group Leadership training has been completed and leaders are now in the process of forming their groups at various locations.
