The Marketplace Network Mission
Mentoring
Mentorship among peer leaders in small groups allow for individual vision, purpose and mission development along with relational and spiritual marketplace application. Further, mentorship of young, successful, and yet aspiring Christian marketplace leaders by mature Christian leaders at the forefront of their fields is the first key component of the Marketplace Newtork. Those with experience teach future leaders biblical and commonsensical principles for their lives and careers.
Motivation
Motivation, the second of the three key components of the Marketplace Network, raises the aspirations of its members
in this unique network to know and believe that they, with their combined influence can make a difference for the good of their community. The Marketplace Network also encourages and fosters commercial, cultural, and civic leadership by its participants in order to be positioned to lead by biblical principle.
Mobilization
The third, and most critical, of the three components of the Marketplace Network’s mission is to mobilize Christian leadership and emerging leaders in a three generational process that perpetuates a well-oiled, versatile, and crucial instrument of cultural leadership in every community.
How the Marketplace Network Works
Implementation
The Marketplace Network’s organization is divided into seven capitals of culture; these seven areas are developed
and supported by various key groups. Examples are illustrated as follows:
Religion: Denominations of Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism and others present in each community.
Education: Elementary, High School, College, private and public.
Commerce: Real Estate, Finance, and Business as segmented by SIC code.
Government: Executive, Judicial, Legislative branches of city, county, state and nation.
Media: Broadcast, Print, Internet
Entertainment: Film, Gaming, Contemporary Music, Theatre, and Sports.
Arts: Theatre, Literature, Fine Arts, and Classical Music.
As the seven areas are supported by various key groups, each group will be partitioned into further areas of specialization to reflect the specific community.

Group Leaders
Each group will have its own leader, which results in a network of leadership groups that reflect the community.
Leadership
The goal for each community or church chapter is to have an
influential leader over each of the seven capitals of cultural. When
fully developed, each of these leaders mentors the various leaders of
their supporting key groups. As an example, the leader of Commerce
mentors key leaders, one each for Real Estate, Finance, and Business.
The leader of each of these three then mentors the
leaders of the groups under them. For instance, the leader of
Finance mentors group leaders in Investment, Banking, Insurance and
Mortgage.
The number and nature of the supporting groups are determined by the marketplace of the community.
Start a Marketplace Network Group
It’s easy to start a Marketplace Network group.
All that is required is a desire to gather together men and women
from your workplace to share and discuss marketplace principles. As a
leader all of the preparation for the principle sharing is done for you.
Facilitation and Communication
The Marketplace Network has created quarterly curriculum with a
fill-in-the-blanks format. When you become a Small Group leader you
access each curriculum session via streaming video online allowing Dr.
Franklin Santagate to mentor you one-on-one preparing you to facilitate
your group.
Group Meetings
The Marketplace Network groups meet weekly. The size of the group
can vary, but we recommend groups no larger than 12. If a group grows
larger than 12, divide the group into two smaller segments. The
objective is to maintain clear dialogue of strategies and solutions for
personal, workplace and community challenges concerning the principle
presented.
Meeting Format
We recommend that each meeting is one hour in length – 6:30am to 7:30am, for example.
The Meeting Agenda is typically as follows:
6:30am – 6:35am Prayer +Welcome
6:35am – 6:55am Present Marketplace Principle
6:55am – 7:15am Group Q +A – Discussion
7:15am – 7:20am Marketplace Applications
7:20am – 7:30am Group Conclusions +Actions
